Who We Are
Stirlingshire Voluntary Enterprise (SVE) is Stirling’s third sector interface (TSI). TSI’s exist to build empowered communities with a thriving third sector. SVE is a membership organisation that includes local charities, social enterprises and volunteer-led community organisations.
SVE aim to strengthen the third sector and broker partnerships that deliver real change by connecting people, ideas and resources. We are committed to working with the third sector to achieve our vision of a thriving Stirling where all citizens have opportunities to connect with their community and work together to deliver outcomes that will improve lives.
SVE provides services, aimed to build third sector capacity, structured around the themes of third sector excellence and resilience, social innovation, volunteering, community development and third sector involvement in community planning and decision making.
We want Stirling to be the best it can be. We know that this will only happen when citizens and communities are supported to flourish.

Support your community
We want Stirling to be the best it can be. We know that this will only happen when citizens and communities are supported to flourish and decide for themselves the support and services that they require to thrive, and how this support should be delivered.
SVE provides information, advice and support that will increase the knowledge, skills and resources organisations need to make a difference in their community. Our services help enable communication and collaboration, through the establishment of forums for networking where good practice can be shared and partnerships formed, to develop and deliver new projects
Stirling’s Volunteer Portal
As part of SVE’s vision to deliver Stirling’s Alive with Volunteering, a project with Stirling Council and Volunteer Scotland that aims to grow volunteering for all, SVE has invested in the development of Stirling’s Volunteer Portal. This will make it easier for organisations to increase the engagement and impact of volunteering in Stirlingshire as well as providing volunteers with increased and inclusive access to volunteering opportunities.
Stirling’s Volunteer Portal was launched during Volunteers’ Week 2021 as a one-stop shop for volunteering activities.
This digital portal will make it much easier for volunteers to find opportunities that are suited to their interests. They can also log their hours which will allow them to keep track of the volunteering that they do and can earn digital achievement badges for each volunteering milestone that they complete.
The portal also simplifies how organisations manage, recruit and reward their volunteers by sharing their volunteering opportunities online. It’s free to register and allows organisations to engage directly with Stirling’s volunteers. It also allows organisations to easily contact volunteers through the system, track their hours, and send feedback and rewards.
